Rose pink, light in the hand, with fine gold zari running in stripes down the pallu and along the border — and just enough transparency that it lifts and floats rather than falling flat.

About the cloth

This is the lightest piece in the collection. Where the tussar sarees have body and slub, this one is finely and evenly woven, with a smooth lustre that catches light across the whole surface rather than in patches. Held up, it is faintly sheer.

The zari is used sparingly — narrow gold lines gathering into wider bands at the pallu, which ends in a fine fringe. Nothing is heavy, nothing is loud, and it drapes closer to the body than a tussar will.

What it's for

A saree you can wear through a full working day in warm weather, or to a daytime function, without it wearing you. The pink is warm rather than sweet, so it sits well on most skin tones.
