Refund policy
Returns & Refunds
Every piece we sell is made by hand, one at a time. We photograph each one carefully and describe it honestly so that what arrives is what you expected. If it isn't, we want to put it right.
If something is wrong with your order — 7 days
If your piece arrives damaged, defective, or is not the item you ordered, write to us within 7 days of delivery and we will take it back at our cost and refund you in full.
Please send photographs of the piece and the packaging along with your message. It helps us settle the claim quickly, and it helps us take it up with our courier.
We pay the return shipping on these. You pay nothing.
If you've changed your mind — 3 days
If the piece is not damaged or defective but you simply don't want it, write to us within 3 days of delivery and we will accept it back, provided:
- the piece is unused and unwashed, with all original tags attached
- the blouse piece is uncut, and any unstitched suit set has not been cut or given for stitching
- it is returned in its original packaging
Return shipping on change-of-mind returns is arranged by us. Once the piece reaches us and passes inspection, we refund the full amount you paid, including GST.
What handloom variation is — and isn't
This is the part we'd ask you to read before ordering.
Our sarees and suits are woven on handlooms from hand-spun yarn. That means:
- Slubs and uneven thickness in the yarn are the fabric, not a fault. Ghicha and tussar silk are spun by hand, so the thread varies along its length. Those irregularities are what tell you a machine wasn't involved.
- Colour varies between screens and cloth. Natural dyes and undyed silk photograph differently on different devices. We colour-correct as truthfully as we can, but a shade that reads slightly warmer or cooler in daylight is normal.
- Hand-painted pieces are never identical. Line weight varies, fills sit slightly differently, motifs don't repeat exactly. That is what hand painting looks like.
- Small irregularities in weave, border alignment or selvedge are part of handloom work.
None of these count as defects, and we can't accept returns on them. If you'd prefer perfectly uniform cloth, powerloom fabric will serve you better than we will, and we'd rather say so now.
Genuine faults — a tear, a hole, a stain, running colour, a printing error — are defects. Those we will always take back.
Exchanges
We don't offer exchanges. If you'd like a different piece instead, return the first under the terms above and place a fresh order. If
What we can't take back

How refunds are paid
Refunds go back to the original payment method — the card, UPI ID or account you paid from. We process the refund within 3 working days of receiving and inspecting the piece, and your bank usually takes a further 5 to 7 working days to show it.
We refund the full amount you paid, GST included. If you paid a shipping charge and the return is because of a fault on our side, we refund that too.
For cash-on-delivery orders, we'll ask for your bank details or UPI ID to make the refund.
Cancelling an order
You can cancel free of charge any time before the order has shipped — just write to us. Once a piece is with the courier, the return terms above apply instead.
